Herniated Disc and Low Back Pain. Suzanne K.
Dr. Aurora and I met one day as I was struggling to walk a mere 2 blocks through the park. Everyone said if I could just get some exercise my back would feel better. Every step was painful and depressing because it did not make me feel better, walking and standing for any length of time was really intolerable. Sleeping had become something I longed to do. For the first time in my life, I really started to understand the concept of not being able to push myself through the pain. I had seen multiple doctors, taken physical therapy for months, resorted to pain medications and visited the famous Mayo Clinic for advice.
Dr. Aurora said, I think I may be able to help you, come into my office and bring your MRIs. The next day, I decided to give it a try. In the beginning I had little confidence and for the first few days I felt nothing different, but by the 8th treatment the pain had started to subside. For the first time in 2 years I could begin to walk in the park and up the steps in my home. I kept up the treatments and by the 18th treatment I was pain free. Now, a year later, I rarely even think about back pain. It has started to become one of those distant memories, which you happily do not revisit. Debilitating back pain simply prevents ones ability to actively pursue life; to experience rehabilitation transforms ones life. It has freed me to chase new endeavors and dream new dreams.
